WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost in specific stats. upgrade item increases the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, but they will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will display the item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.
Item upgraders can be found in many places including the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain an entirely new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In click this link here now , several new features have been added to the upgrade system. When a player has an upgrade to a certain level for an item in an armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will cost less even when they are part of another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones needed for upgrades is reduced, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut too, but it is only available when certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. They can use Flightstones which are a common upgrade currency that is accessible to everyone, or crests, which are more specialized and used to upgrade specific levels of items. Crests are an integral element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to get their gear up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests with care, since they have only one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
